Rwanda records six more COVID-19 deaths, 132 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported that six people succumbed to COVID-19 yesterday bringing the death toll to 1296. The deceased include five women and one man.
The statement released last night shows that 132 people have caught the virus out of 7602 sample tests, three recovered while six are critically ill.
A total of 1,689,619 people have been fully vaccinated while 2,136,028 received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine since Rwanda began countrywide inoculation program on 5th March 2021.
Coronavirus symptoms include coughing, flu, and difficulty in breathing. The virus is said to be transmitted through the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract.
Rwandans are urged to adhere to COVID-19 health guidelines, washing hands frequently using soaps and safe water, wearing face masks and respecting social distancing.
